Project / Performance / Workshop
Where unease starts, art comes in — a story parcours on silence, body, memory and social experience.
Project text
In August 2017, a group of twelve people came together in Cologne for a two-week process using storytelling, contemporary dance, postdramatic theatre and anthropology.
The result was Period of Silence, an interactive walk-through dance performance exploring how silence is carried across society, generations and cultures. Large parts of the performance were danced with eyes covered, shifting how performers and audience perceived the space.
